Where the $ Comes From.  BCLC operates the Concession Stand at Civic Field in Bellingham, where our local high schools hold many of their games. Every time you bite down on one of those delicious Hempler's hotdogs we serve, a portion of the money you have paid goes directly back to the students in the form of college scholarships for graduating Seniors.

How the Students Are Chosen.  We're real good at serving hot dogs, but not so good at recognizing scholarly talent, so we partner with the Bellingham Branch of Dollars for Scholars. We turn hot dogs into money and they turn the money into successful college students. When we began doing this some years ago, we provided each high school in Bellingham with a scholarship of $1,000; now that figure has grown to $1,500.
